Community Acupuncture
Community-style acupuncture is a clinic model delivering better access to regular treatment through its efficient and affordable nature.
Treatments are administered simultaneously in a group setting promoting a supportive atmosphere of relaxation and healing.
Treatment protocols / prescriptions are comprised of points below the elbows and knees (antique points), head and scalp points, or auricular (ear) acupuncture providing both efficacy and ease of access.
Community Acupuncture Prescriptions
10 Golden Needles
(Miriam Lee Protocol)
This protocol utilizes "antique points" to create a broad-spectrum effect designed to be effective for any patient and a variety of conditions. These points are needled with 24k gold-plated surgical stainless-steel needles and retained upwards of 30-45 minutes.
NADA Ear Protocol
Established during the 1970's in the Bronx, this protocol was originally developed to treat substance use disorders. We have since learned this protocol is beneficial in reducing cravings, anxiety, and stress while promoting emotional regulation, relaxation, and improved mental well-being.
Battlefield Ear Protocol
(Pain Reduction)
The "Battlefield" protocol is a pain management protocol developed to achieve rapid analgesic effect for pain conditions. Aiguille semi-permanent (ASP) needles are inserted into specific points in the ear and retained upwards of several days before falling out (or removed easily with tweezers).
