Balinese Boreh Scrub
Service Description
From the Balinese words "Bo" meaning "ready" and "Rah" meaning "Blood" comes Boreh which literally brings your blood and body to life. A centuries-old restorative recipe of herbs and spices traditionally used by rice farmers after long hours standing in water while tending their fields applied to the body to create a "body revival". The combination of cloves, fresh ginger, cinnamon, coriander seeds, rice, turmeric, nutmeg, and other herbs are hand crushed by mortar and pestle and combined with warm water to create a thick aromatic paste that is applied to the body. The result is a soft warming feeling that soothes sore muscles and joints while warding off chills and colds. Balinese Boreh Scrubs are helpful in promoting circulation and correcting constitutional imbalances if cumulatively utilized over a period of time. Some clients may find optimal benefit using Balinese Boreh Scrubs as a one-off service to remove trapped heat or toxins. While the scrub may be removed at the completion of the service, better results are achieved by lightly showering before bed.
